Postcard Project
Our Postcard Project is a project that helps my students learn about the world around them. We ask that you send us a postcard from where you live or visit. If you can write a little information about the place you are living or visiting, we can use that information as a learning tool. We use these postcards for lessons in Social Studies. Students love receiving mail which can really help to understand the world around them. We graph how many postcards we receive, write postcard facts, sort postcards by continents, countries, and states. We also use push-pins on a big world and United States map to keep track of all the places we have a postcard from. Giving students the opportunity to visit the world around them through postcards helps them open their eyes and dream big! This project will also help my student be internationally minded and open-minded as we learn about differences in the world around us.
